WHERE ARE WE GOING WITH TODAY’S NEWS? MARCH 29 BRANCH MEETING
Our 2018 Public Policy Program will begin at 5:30 on Thursday, March 29 at the AFL-CIO building at 534 South Second Street. There will also be a brief business meeting. The AAUW Public Policy Priorities adopted for 2017-19 support advocating for equitable climates free from harassment, bullying, and sexual assault. More and frequent information is coming out on violence against women through traditional news reports as well as social media. Our panel of speakers will share their research and experiences relating to such incidents in homes, schools, workplaces, and communities and how we can advocate for change and support of the civil rights of individuals.
